Nineplus is happy to welcome Californian surfer ‘Troy Mothershead’ to its team. Troy is 18 years old from San Clemente and in our opinion is one the main surfers both competitively and actively to watch for over the next 5 years in the international longboard events.

His G.P.A. is currently 3.9 and he attends San Clemente High School. Troy also surfs for Stewart Surfboards and will remain with them for boards but use Nineplus wetsuits, clothing and surfing accessories representing the company within the USA.

Troy’s past achievements have included:

• 2006 Longboard Magazine Pro tour, 3rd Overall
• 2006 Pro Nose-ride Longboard Championships, 3rd place
• 2006 42nd annual Ron Jon Easter Surf Fest PRO, 1st place
• 2006 NSSA Explorer Longboard NATIONAL Champion
• 2005-2006 NSSA Southwest Open Longboard Series Champion
• 2005-2006 NSSA Southwest Explorer Longboard Series Champion
• 2003/ 04/ 05/ 06 4x NSSA Interscholastic State Champion
• 2005 Longboard Magazine PRO Series, overall 10th place
• 2005/06 U.S Open of Surfing, =7th place
• 2004 Selected to US Surf Team
• 2004-2005 NSSA Southwest Explorer Longboard Series Champion
• 2004-2005 NSSA Southwest Open Longboard Series Runner-Up
• 2005 NSSA - Scored a Perfect 20 in one heat, Open Event #4
• 2004 Longboard Magazine Converse PRO Championships Malibu Nose Riding Event, 6th place
• 2004 US Surfing America NATIONAL Champion
