Noosa Longboards honors Elvis with collectibles display Hundreds of thousands of people will be descending on Memphis Tennessee and attending memorial concerts in virtually every country in the world next week to mark the 30th anniversary of the king of rock and roll , Elvis Presley who died at his home in Memphis ( Graceland) at just 42 years of age . Elvis is bigger in death than he was in life, if that’s possible, with Elvis music, collectables, movies and merchandise selling in staggering numbers leading up to the event next week. Noosa Longboards have always been passionate collectors of music, particularly rock and roll and also Hawaiian history.
Elvis had a twenty year association with Hawaii, the spiritual home of
surfing, making three movies there and also holidaying there regularly,
staying with close friend Jack Lord of Hawaii 5O fame. In fact it was the
only place outside the mainland of the United States that Elvis ever
traveled in his life, with the exception of his Army service in 1958 in
Germany. The Albums, with a combined value of around AUD$15,000 will be on display in store along with the other items all next week as a tribute to the king -some items are for sale others probably not! "Before Elvis, there was nothing" - John Lennon, "I would like to be Elvis, that’s who I would like to be". - Bob Dylan. 'If Elvis had not released another song after 'that’s all right mama', he still would have gone down as a great in the history of rock and roll.'
