Surfrider Foundation’s 5th annual end of year gathering
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 27 December, 2006 : - - Satellite Beach, FL -- Drinks will flow, food will be in abundance, and musicians will rock the crowd at the Surfrider Foundation’s 5th Annual End of the Year Gathering, an all-ages party that celebrates 2006 and raises money for important beach and ocean conservation programs. The Sebastian Inlet Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is hosting this community-wide event and encourages people from coast to coast to join them at Hustler Bar & Pool Room on Saturday, December 30 from 5 p.m. A $15 donation at the door includes free food provided by Bunky's Raw Bar & Seafood Grille and Charlie & Jakes BBQ – among many others – as well as free beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. Top-notch area bands will take to the stage to perform and the night also includes hundreds of free giveaways and raffles, surf videos, surf art to be auctioned, and more. All ages are welcome, so bring the kids! “Our end of the year bash is a great way for members of the greater Central Florida community to gather together to celebrate the previous year and to usher in 2007,” says Rick Hayes, Chapter Chairman. “For the Sebastian Inlet Chapter of Surfrider, it is also a chance to raise funds by having fun! You don’t have to be a surfer – or even swim for that matter – to come out, have a great time, and support a great cause.” Cost: $15
donation/person Funds raised by the event go directly to support the chapter’s initiatives designed to protect the ocean, waves and beaches on Florida’s east coast. For more information, call (321) 779-0279.
