SAMOA  REPORTS

Report No:    48-06

Period:           Monday 27th November to Sunday 3rd December 2006

Weather was sunny and glassy most of the week.

MONDAY   HIGH TIDE – 12.28 pm, LOW TIDE – 5.58am. The conditions were ideal for front at Resorts, sunny and glassy with fun walling waves for a few quick turns and the occasional barrel. Not all that consistent, but it was a great day to be in the water.  Surfed from 11 to 2pm

TUESDAY   HIGH TIDE –1.25pm, LOW TIDE – 6.58am.  A very small waves today and the wind was up slightly so a few guests paddled out, but had very long waits between sets.    Surfed from 12 till 3.00pm

WEDNESDAY  HIGH TIDE –2.17pm, LOW TIDE – 7.55am. The call was for a north swell to hit today, so they headed over to the north side on the prowl for waves. The swell hadn’t come up as the charts showed, but they did get some shoulder high waves at The Rock. The waves was sectioning out mostly, but offered a few walls on the sets.  Always fun at this spot.  Surfed from 2.30 to 5.30pm

THURSDAY  HIGH TIDE –3.07pm, LOW TIDE – 8.47am.  Back to The Rock today to see if the swell had arrived. The waves were about head high with a few bigger sets, the waves were a bit crumbly due to the wind, but here were some good enjoyable waves despite the conditions. Surfed from 2 pm to 5 pm

FRIDAY   HIGH TIDE – 3.57pm, LOW TIDE – 9.37am.  The weather is perfect today, sunny and no wind, not a ripple out of place. Unfortunately there was only a tiny swell running so it was out front at Resorts for a few peaky little waves, but long waits between waves. Great to just be out in the water to cool down.     Surfed from 2pm to 5pm

SATURDAY   HIGH TIDE –4.45pm, LOW TIDE – 10.25am.  It was out at Resorts again in a swell that had risen slightly, but still long waits between sets. Just after high tide a pulse hit for an hour with fun peaky head high waves. There were a few little barrels to be had and some great sections to bust some turns. The weather was perfect again, sunny and glassy.    Surfed from 2.30pm to 7pm

SUNDAY   HIGH TIDE –5.17am, LOW TIDE –11.12am.  Well that swell arrived and the crew had epic surf at Coco’s today! The new swell was from west and barreling down the line, with sets about double over head. The weather was sunny and glassy again, and the waves, although big, were very makeable. One of the crew made three barrels on ONE wave. GREAT day.     Surfed 6.30amm to 9.15am
