SAMOA REPORTS
Report No: 5-07 Period: Monday 29th January to Sunday 4th February 2007
Weather for this week has been mostly fine with rain on the north side and at night time over here.
MONDAY HIGH TIDE – 4.32pm, LOW TIDE – 10.12am. A ENE swell with SE winds, so The Rivermouth at Tiavea was the pick for the day. Quality was good although a little wind affected with waves up to head high. Surfed from 1.00 to 4.00pm.
TUESDAY HIGH TIDE – 5.16pm, LOW TIDE – 10 .57am. The swell had dropped overnight so the gang opted for waves out front at Resorts after driving almost around the Island on a search. Out the front was OK with a few peaks going both ways, up to shoulder high. Surfed from 4.00 to 6.30pm. Matt Tynan @ Pebbles
WEDNESDAY The swell had all but disappeared so no surfing today, rest time
THURSDAY HIGH TIDE – 6.40 pm, LOW TIDE 12.15pm With the swell still small there were clean peaks out the front at Resorts for the afternoon tide. Fun waves about shoulder high with a couple of long walls. Surfed from 4.30 to 7.00pm. . FRIDAY HIGH TIDE – 7.00am, LOW TIDE – 12.53pm. Again the swell remained small but coming from SW up to shoulder high. Surfed out at Resorts again in nice clean conditions, the same as the last few days, and a lot of fun. Surfed from 6.15 to 9.00am.
Out front at Resorts
SATURDAY HIGH TIDE – 7.36am, LOW TIDE – 1.30pm. Resorts was again the best, small waves but mostly rights today with some walling up well. Surfed from 8.30 to 10.00am in the morning then 5.00 to 6.30.pm in the arvo
SUNDAY HIGH TIDE – 8.15am, LOW TIDE 2.38pm. The swell had shown signs of building last night and they woke to a brand new west swell, head to head and a half high. Pebbles was the place almost as good as it ever gets. Clean conditions with the usual inside barrel and the occasional one linking up from the outside. Everybody is happy after a week of relatively small conditions. Surfed from 6.45 to 10.30. Pebbles showing its stuff
