SAMOA REPORTS
Report No: 06-07 Period: Monday 5th to Sunday 11th February 2007.
Weather for this week has been mostly fine with the usual tropical down pour every now and then.
MONDAY HIGH TIDE – 8.45am, LOW TIDE – 2.45pm The swell backed off after Sunday’s pulse, it was still shoulder high with a few bigger ones and with very clean conditions Coco’s was the spot as it picks up the most swell. Still small but some nice peaks on a great day. Surfed from 7.00 to 9.30am. Nice clean Coco’s
TUESDAY HIGH TIDE – 9.23am, LOW TIDE – 3.29pm. With the swell a little smaller the best option was out the front at Resort’s. Some nice peaks about shoulder high in clean conditions. Surfed from 7.00 to 10.00.
WEDNESDAY HIGH TIDE – 10.08am, LOW TIDE – 4.17pm. A small new NE swell popped up so the crew headed off to Tiavea where consistent waves hit The Rivermouth and breaking both ways. Wind came up for a while but didn’t affect it too much, still a lot of fun. Surfed from 7.30 to 10.30.
THURSDAY HIGH TIDE – 11.04am, LOW TIDE – 5.16pm. The swell was the same so back to the north side to Tiavea. This time the wind was up when they arrived but soon turned to be offshore for the rest of the day. Peaks at The Rivermouth again were lining up chest high with a few bigger, and all with very clean with long walls. Surfed from 9.00 to 12.30.
FRIDAY HIGH TIDE – 12.09pm, LOW TIDE – 6.27pm. There was a lot more west in the swell and it was very small so the best bet was out at Resorts again. Not great as it doesn’t like this swell direction all that much, still some fun waves when you picked them. Surfed from 11.00 to 12.30.
SATURDAY HIGH TIDE – 1.15pm, LOW TIDE – 6.36am. A new swell pulsed from the SW overnight up to head high with light variable winds. With no surfer guests in today it was time for maintenance so they didn’t take a trip but most probably Pebbles would have been good in the conditions. SUNDAY HIGH TIDE – 2.13pm, LOW TIDE – 7.45am. Still the same conditions, except the swell is smaller and again no surfing guests today. R&R |
