Blane Chambers The fourth event on the Steinlager Shaka Longboard Series, the Quiksilver Boardriders Bowls looks forward to a small south bump to start things off on the Diamond Head end of Magic Island. With offshore trades expected and head high surf, competitors could be in for a treat as the Ala Moana Bowl’s left handers could see some hotly contested action from Hawaii’s premiere longboarders. Back in the islands from the Japan circuit is rising star Kekoa Uemura who currently leads the Japan longboard ratings along with two time Steinlager series winner Duane DeSoto going for a three-peat. Reloading in the C4 Stand Up Paddle division, Kamaki Worthington will be shooting for another win, while point leader Leleo Kinimaka looks to up his standings total. On Saturday, both the pro division along with C4 SUP surfing will compete and wrap and on Sunday, the amateur divisions will be competing.
