The Steinlager Shaka Longboard Series at Sunset

The Steinlager Shaka Longboard Series starts off it's season of five events this weekend at Sunset Beach where surf is expected to be in the eight foot face range. Over 120 competitors should make for a highly competitive event with many of the top longboarders and standup paddle surfers on Oahu here for the event.
Saturday will feature
both the professional longboard as well as the standup paddle divisions and
include the likes of Bonga Perkins, Kai Sallas, Dino Miranda, Kamu Auwae and
last season's SUP division champion Leleo Kinimaka from Kailua-Kona along
with a full contingent from Maui, Kauai and Oahu. On Sunday, the amateur
divisions will get their shot at Sunset Beach and waves are expected to hold
in mid-sized range throughout the weekend.
