Justine Dupont joins the Rip Curl Girls Team

The Rip Curl Girls Team is pleased to welcome one of the best longboard riders in the world, Justine Dupont. Originally from Lacanau, Justine started surfing with her Dad and brother when she was about 11. She began with the longboard but quickly moved onto the shortboard.
She eventually followed her heart back to the longboard, becoming rather good at the discipline, good enough to start competing, « just to see how good I really was compared to the other girls ». And she quickly realised that she was one of the best !
Last July, she became vice-World Longboard Champion at only 15 years old, and last October, she won the French Open Championships. These superb performances lay the foundations for what will surely be a bright future for the young lady from Lacanau whilst continuing her studies at the same time, she’s in the first year of Sports Studies at the French Surfing Academy in Bayonne.
