Tweak your longboard style with Animal Rider Elliot Dudley
For the first time this year the Animal Surf Academy in Cornwall will be holding an ASA Longboard Weekend on 22nd and 23rd September in Newquay and Polzeath. Two-time European champ Elliot will be on-hand to help you tweak your style – from nose-riding tips to cross stepping or walking the board.
The day will also include a chance to try out different styles of longboards to help find which one best suits you, an Animal goodie bag, beach picnic and a discussion session where you can chat and discuss style tips with Elliot.
Elliot Dudley is becoming a Welsh-born surfing legend at the tender age of 22. Currently he holds the European, Welsh and British Longboard titles and has travelled to places as far afield as Papua New Guinea in his pursuit of some of the most remote waves in the world.
An extra highlight will be a stand-up paddle surfing demo with Starboard UK. Everyone on the ASA Longboard Day will be able to find out more about one of the original forms of surfing dating back to the Polynesian forefathers who first took to the waves and were documented by Captain Cook in the Eighteenth Century. There will also be an opportunity for surfers to try out the boards on the day.
