SAMOA  REPORTS

Period:          Monday 10th to Sunday 16th September 2007.

MONDAY   HIGH TIDE – 6.00am, LOW TIDE – 12.05pm. Was an awesome morning of surf. Wakas early was going off with some sets double overhead and very clean from until 8.45.  They then moved to Pebbles from 9.00 to 10.30 with smaller waves, up to head and a half high, but much heavier, probably as good as it gets and the photos will show that.

Michael Brennan @ Wakas

TUESDAY HIGH TIDE – 6.32am, LOW TIDE – 12.37pm.   The wind was up early and after checking Wakas, which had some guys on it and was wind affected, they went to Pebbles which was doing its thing again. Sets were up to head and a half high and there were clean barrels lining up from the peak to the end section. Another good day at Pebbles from 7.00 to 11.00am

WEDNESDAY HIGH TIDE – 7.05am, LOW TIDE – 1.08pm. With the wind was up again from SE they went straight to Pebbles and surfed from 6.30 to 9.30. It was a little smaller today but very clean with lots barrels and it’s great that even in these winds Wakas loves em ands works so well.

THURSDAY HIGH TIDE – 7.38am, LOW TIDE – 1.40pm. There was a lot of east in the swell and the wind was SE again. Pebbles was not doing it like it had been with the swell direction is not ideal and was not hitting the reef properly. They surfed it for a while with the odd wave being OK then the wind backed off a little and rights were the call so they hit Special K for a while which was lumpy and onshore but still had the odd surfable wave. On the way in Brent went to check inside one of the bays he had been watching for a while and found a small potential right which the guests ventured out to for 15 Mins. Could be a new break to add to our list that we alone surf. We’ll keep watching for the future.  Surfed today from 7.00 to 10.30.

FRIDAY HIGH TIDE – 8.13am, LOW TIDE – 2.14pm.  Still had a lot of east in the swell so Village Lefts was the go with some long fast walls and the wind was shifting and went from offshore to side shore and back again a few times. The sets were up to head and a half high and the crew had some very nice waves in a shortish session from 6.30 to 8.30.

SATURDAY HIGH TIDE – 8.51am, LOW TIDE – 2.52pm.  With the same conditions they surfed from 7.00 to 11.00.at Village Lefts again the same as yesterday with long fast walls.

                                                                                      .

SUNDAY  HIGH TIDE – 9.39am, LOW TIDE – 3.37pm. With the swell a bit more south in it they went back to Pebbles the waves were both on the back and inside peaks so plenty of waves to go around. A fun session from 7.00 to 12.00.

A mass bail out @ Pebbles.
